Australia vs Wales – Third Test Preview

Sam Warburton

Sam Warburton

After last weeks heartbreak of narrowly missing out on a rare victory over Australia, the Wales Rugby Union team are looking to re-group, for one final push against the Aussies. Already two down in the series, they have only pride to play for, but Sam Warburton and his men will not be lacking in motivation.

Wales will be looking to establish a strong platform in the scrum, and get their strike runners like Jonathan Davies, George North and Alex Cuthbert working off quick ball. If Wales can do this, they can beat Australia, though the Aussies will be desperate to send Wales home after a whitewash.

The Wales team to play Austalia on Saturday 23rd June is as follows:

15-Leigh Halfpenny, 14-Alex Cuthbert, 13-Jonathan Davies, 12-Ashley Beck, 11-George North, 10-Rhys Priestland, 9-Mike Phillips; 8-Ryan Jones, 7-Sam Warburton (captain), 6-Dan Lydiate, 5-Alun Wyn Jones, 4-Bradley Davies, 3-Adam Jones, 2-Matthew Rees, 1-Gethin Jenkins.
