Welsh Rugby Union

The Sport of Rugby Union is considered by many to be the national sport of Wales. the Welsh national team play in the annual 6 Nation Championships, a tournament that they have won a total of 25 times.

Club rugby in Wales centres around four regional teams who compete in the Rabobank Pro Direct 12 along with representatives from Ireland, Scotland and Italy. The Welsh regions represented are:

• The Cardiff Blues
• The Newport Gwent Dragons
• The Osporys (Neath/Swansea)
• The Scarlets(Llanelli)
